NFL Picks/Update - Week 16

I'm tardy. I'm late. I'm busy and haven't blogged in forever and I'm highly disliking this. Trying my hardest to get back on board.

Josh and I have started doing our NFL picks on our own. We compete against one another and enjoy this time together. Ellie Mae, even participates. Whenever we pick the same team she picks againts us. Sadly she won last week.

Here's what happened today:

So far Josh and I are all tied up and Ellie is behind by 2. We'll see how we do by Monday night. Wish me luck!

Playing Catchup..

I've been unable to post the past few days because of how busy I've been. I'm getting A LOT done though. Quite proud of myself actually, it's been a really productive week.

I guess I should start with how we fared last week with our picks..

We ended  up coming in 2nd for our league, not too bad.

Here's where the Penguins stand as of yesterday...

the Penguins are 11-6-3.
As most of you probably are aware, Sid the Kid comes back tomorrow against the Islanders. How exciting! Can't wait to see what he does!

NFL/NHL Update #2

Here it is...2 days late. At least it's getting done!

We didn't do too bad on the NFL side of things for our picks. 9 points total, but there were 4 other people who ended up with 10. Hopefully, next week will be a little better.

I'm excited for the game Sunday against the Bengals, it should be a good game. Here's hoping there's some actual consistency in the penalties and calls (that goes for all games across the board).

The Penguins lost one and won one, so here's hoping for a better week this week. They have 2 games before the next update, next Tuesday.

NFL/NHL Update #1

Okay, let me me just say...How on earth is it November, already! It'll be 2012 before we know it! Time goes far too fast.

Alright, so let me start out with I don't know everything about football, but boy do I love to watch it. Sundays have become our Pizza and Football day. I just love it! I've been a Steeler fan since I can remember. I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area and my main reason for loving them?..they're a working mans team.

Currently Josh participates in a Pick 'Em League and the past few weeks I've been helping him. Back in week 5, the week I started helping, we won for the week. He had to pick this weekends without me since we didn't have a chance to choose together, but he did pretty well. He didn't win, but he did come in 2nd.

I have to say one of my favorite plays the Steelers made during that game, though there were many against the Patriots, was the Saftey at the end. Just love my boy, Polamalu. He got it done!

One more thing..why was Brady wearing a freaking suit at his press conference? Now I'm not sure if this is procedure anymore, I usually turn the channel before seeing any of them, but I know that I can't recall seeing a Steeler ever wearing a suit. I'm sorry, but just more reason for me to dislike him. It was so nice to see him drop that ball at the end.

So the Steelers are 6-2..on to the next week.
VS. Ravens 8:20PM on Sunday. Should be a good game.

N H L ..Okay Pittsburgh Penguins Update..

I was unable to watch any of the games this week, I don't even know that Josh got to watch any and he loves hockey. Afterall, he's the one who got me into it in the first place.
